O Tombo de Iria: Fonte de información toponímica en terra de tradición xacobea

The Tumbo de Iria, preserved in the Arquivo da Catedral de Santiago, was drawn up in 1457 to document the domains of Santa María de Iria in a context of conflict with the diocese of Compostela. The tumbo mentions and describes the places in the surrounding area, which are strongly linked to the Jacobean tradition, as well as some of the people who inhabit them, which is why the text, beyond its historical and linguistic interest, represents an important source from an onomastic point of view. This contribution, which will briefly present the philological edition that is in the process of being prepared, will focus above all on the toponymic dimension and on those questions that are of particular relevance in this field.
