Callobre, probable pre-Latin name of the “outeiro” hill-fort in the old part of Santiago de Compostela. Study of the geographical dispersion of this name, attribution to the Celtic people and the role it plays together with the hydronyms Tambre and Sar in the discussion of the identification of the territories of the civitates of the Celtic praestamarcos and supertamarcos. Morphological analysis and main etymological options.

Carlos Búa. Degree in Classical Philology, PhD in Classical Philology and Indo-European Linguistics with the doctoral thesis Teonimia galaico-lusitana, directed by Prof. Jürgen Untermann, Univ. of Cologne (Germany). Assistant professor of Hispanic Linguistics at the universities of Rostock, Heidelberg and Leipzig. He is currently Professor of Hispanic Linguistics and Spanish Language at the University of Leipzig. His publications include Toponimia prelatina de Galicia (Santiago de Compostela, 2018) and, in collaboration with other authors, translations into Spanish of the Heliand (Madrid, 1996) and of the Lírica medieval alemana con voz feminina (siglos XII-XIII) (Valladolid, 2007) and into Galician of Plato’s Banquete (Vigo, 2001). With Beatriz García Turnes, he co-directs the Tesouro Paleogalaico project at the Ramón Piñeiro Centre.
